The most critical stage in configuring a fire-safe setup. This step is where our crews take note of your expectations for performance and balance these requests with guidelines set by organizations such as the National Fire Protection Association. There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all commercial fire system design, so we’ll set you up for success with high-quality technology that keeps you in compliance with local and national codes.
There are a few different types of overhead fire sprinkler systems; every fire sprinkler system requires at least one automatic water supply of adequate pressure, capacity, and reliability. The water supply needs to be capable of supplying all designated sprinklers that operate during a fire for the required duration, as well as accounting for the hose stream demand water used by the fire department operations during the fire.
Running from the fire sprinkler riser to the final valve, underground piping leads to the municipal water supply or privately owned waterworks system, delivering water to the system. For this system to work, the underground piping that delivers the water to the system must be dependable, and must be able to resist underground pipe separation with the use of restraints.
High-piled storage occupancies require a targeted fire protection system. Not only should the stored material be evaluated, but the height, length, and depth needs to be considered as well. The very nature of the piled goods create very different combustion characteristics, making for very different suppression strategies.
In-rack systems are very effective for high-pile storage applications and may be required regardless of other options available, depending on the commodity of pile configuration.
These sprinklers are, specifically, designed to deliver copious amounts of water so that fire can be suppressed shortly after the sprinkler operates. Fire, smoke, and water damage can greatly be reduced because of Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) sprinklers. These systems are installed at the ceiling and focus more on finding the origin of the fire rather than just controlling the spread of a fire. ESFR systems are a perfect fit for warehouses with storage that have exact or less than 40 feet overall height, and a ceiling height of less than 45 feet.
Fire sprinkler system inspections tell us which part of the system needs attention. Depending on the age of your system, keeping an eye out for wear and tear is crucial. The older your system is, the greater the likelihood Performance Fire Sprinkler will have to perform a repair.
Performance Fire Sprinkler offers quarterly, annual, and 5 year inspections depending on the requirements of your system.
